In 2000,\u00a0Ricky Mastro\u00a0received his first degree in Drama from the University of Washington (Seattle). Returning to his native country, Brazil, he followed that with a degree in Cinema from Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Armando \u00c1lvares Penteado (S\u00e3o Paulo) and a Master\u2019s in LGBT Identities from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (S\u00e3o Paulo).<\/p>\n

In 2015, he moved to Toulouse where he got a DURCA Diploma from the \u00c9cole Nationale Sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019Audiovisuel. (DURCA: Dipl\u00f4me Universitaire de Recherche et de Cr\u00e9ation en Audiovisuel).<\/p>\n

To date, Ricky has written and directed 8 short films that were distributed to over 200 festivals around the globe. He was part of Fucking Different S\u00e3o Paulo<\/a>\u00a0which had its premiere at Berlinale \u2013 Panorama 2010.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Ricky Mastro started his first feature film project with L\u00e9on Diana<\/a>. 7 minutes<\/a><\/em> (2020) was shot and finished in two years, and it has been distributed to many territories around the globe, like: North America, Germany, France, United Kingdom and Southeast Asia.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, Ricky is in development with L\u00e9on Diana on two new feature film projects: The Invisibles<\/em> and Giulia<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Ricky is very active in the LGBT+ festival circuit. He is the film programmer for the International Festival of Sexual and Gender Diversity in Goi\u00e1s<\/a> \u2013 Brazil. Also, he created RECIFEST (Festival LGBT+ in Recife, Brazil).<\/p>\n

Ricky also teaches film directing at two schools in Toulouse France: ACT Formation and Ynov University.<\/p>\n
