Returning to his native country, Brazil, he followed that with a degree in Cinema from Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Armando \u00c1lvares Penteado (S\u00e3o Paulo) and a Master\u2019s in LGBT Identities from Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (S\u00e3o Paulo). Starting in 2015, he began his most recent studies at \u00c9cole Sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019Audiovisuel in Toulouse, France where he is currently a \u2018DURCA\u2019 student (DURCA: Dipl\u00f4me Universitaire de Recherche et de Cr\u00e9ation en Audiovisuel).<\/p>\n<p>To date, Ricky has written and directed 7 LGBT shorts films. He was part of Fucking Different S\u00e3o Paulo. In 2016, he released <a href=\"http:\/\/www.curtaxavier.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2018Xavier\u2019<\/a> distributed by The Open Reel (Italy). In March 2016, he shot a short film <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/latapette2017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\u2018The Mousetrap\u2019<\/a>. In August of the same year, he successfully managed a crowdfunding campaign for his project, <em>\u2018The Storm\u2019<\/em> which he shot in Toulouse, France. The Open Reel also distributes \u2018The Storm\u2019. His feature film project <em>\u2018Mind Games\u2019<\/em> (produced by Franco Films \u2013 Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to be shot in 2018) was selected for the prestigious Cin\u00e9ma en D\u00e9veloppment from Cin\u00e9latino in Toulouse.<\/p>\n<p>Ricky is very active in LGBT festival circuit. He was one of the creators of Recifest (the first LGBT film festival in Recife, Brazil).
